Abiding Way was founded by two mothers who share a love for home education, Charlotte Mason, and a vision for something beautiful.
We have walked through motherhood and home education alongside one another for years. What began as a friendship and a small nature group eventually grew into Abiding Way.
Today, we lead the cottage school together, shaping the vision, planning each year, teaching alongside our community, and caring for the many details that make each Wednesday possible.
But most importantly, we are part of the community we lead.
We homeschool our own children, learn alongside other mothers, and share in the joys and challenges of this work. We want Abiding Way to be a place where mothers feel encouraged and supported, and where children are known, loved, and given room to flourish.

Lily loves living books, literature, nature, music, and the simple beauty of learning alongside children. She is especially passionate about protecting childhood from unnecessary hurry and creating space for wonder, beauty, and rich ideas.
Bethany Lynch
Co-Director
Bethany brings a thoughtful, creative, and deeply relational presence to Abiding Way. She loves nature, beauty, meaningful community, and creating an environment where children and mothers feel known, welcomed, and encouraged.
A Community We Build Together
Abiding Way is intentionally a community where everyone has a part.
Mothers teach, assist, care for younger children, help with the rhythm of the day, and encourage one another. We believe that when families bring their gifts and share in the work, something richer is created than any one person could build alone.
As we grow, our hope is to remain small enough to know one another, rooted in Christ, and intentional about protecting the beauty, simplicity, and wonder that brought us here in the first place.
